Wild, Wonderful West Virginia

My golfing friends and I took our annual trip to Berkeley Springs, West Virginia to enjoy several rounds of golf at beautiful Cacapon State Park.  We stayed in a rustic lodge and played on a golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones. For those of you wo are not golfers, this means a long and challenging course. We had wonderful weather, good food, good company, and much laughter. As you can see from the photos, the setting is beautiful and woodsy. Wildlife abounds, especially herds of deer which appear early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The people running this course could not be nicer or more accommodating to our group. This is why the group has been coming back every October for five years (See The Traveling Sisterhood of Golf).
