Cacapon State Park Resort--First Day
Men get to go on golf vacations with their buddies. So why not women? Last week I traveled to wild, wonderful West Virginia with eleven of my golf league friends for a three-day, all-girl, all-golf vacation. Cacapon (Cake-a-pon) Lodge is a rustic hotel with restaurant, front porch with rockers, and a large gathering room for games and cards. The Robert Trent Jones golf course is right next door.
We played 18 holes of golf each day on this spectacular and very long course. Then we ate dinner at the lodge and played games in the evening. After golf on Tuesday, we had a putting contest that caused so much laughter that we attracted a gallery of spectators. What a wonderful and fun group of golfing friends!
Notice how fresh and raring to go we look before golf on the first day and how relaxed we look after golf on the last day.
