Seattle Trip

Baseball
Avid Red Sox fan Neil bought tickets for a 4-game series with the Mariners while we visited "the kids" in Seattle. At Safeco Field they go all out to make each game a fun event. The two teams split the series and someone, not mentioning any names, was apoplectic when Okajima blew the 4th game for the Sox.

Boat Rides
When in Seattle, we love to take rides on the Washington State Ferries. They are enormous clean boats with a smooth ride and all the amenities. A two-hour, round-trip ride is only about $6 per person. We rode to Bainbridge one day and to Bremerton another to have lunch and a relaxing ride. The weather was picture perfect.

Barbeque
The building where our kids live has a glorious rooftop terrace which is a common area for barbeques with a backdrop of Mt. Ranier, Elliot Bay, and the Seattle skyline. Our son and daughter-in-law cooked a delicious dinner for us including King Salmon on the grill.
